Mrs. Schiappa's Wish List
These are things that we're not on the 4th grade supply list that I would be very grateful to receive.
4 "BIG JOE" BEAN BAG CHAIRS OR SAUCER CHAIRS
(These can be found at Walmart for $29 by the furniture section, and I would love grey and light teal/blue to coordinate with my classroom.)
This will be a part of our reading centers. The chairs are needed to provide a comfortable and relaxing space to curl up with a good book and strengthen those reading skills, word recognition, and spelling.
NEW OR GOOD CONDITION CHAPTER BOOK AND PICTURE BOOK DONATIONS
(New or used. Goodwill has an amazing selection of chapter books that are in "like-new" condition. I purchased 15 over the weekend, and I'm very excited to introduce them to our class library collection.)
If have any old/already read chapter books or picture books in your home that you would like to donate, I would love to have them for my class library. It's a little pitiful, and I want my
students to have a more diverse array of books to learn from and enjoy.
GIFT CARDS TO WAL-MART, AND DOLLAR TREE
Throughout the year, we will be doing various science projects that will often require inexpensive materials that can be purchased from these stores. If each parent could donate a $5 gift card from either one or both of these stores, that would help my materials cost throughout the year immensely.
